Singer / Guitarist

From the
very start, Matt was destined to achieve amazing things. An extremely gifted
Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, Matt was adopted from South Korea at the age of 4
months, and grew up in Newcastle Australia. At the age of 12, Matt was given his
first guitar for Christmas and it quickly became apparent that there was an
incredible connection that was formed.
At the age of 16, Matt recorded his first album “Goodbye Tonight” (2006) and it
was a successful start to his career. Runner up for Best Young Talent in
Newcastle, selling albums internationally in America and shooting a film clip
for single “Hypnotised”, which was played on Foxtel Channels around the nation.
Matt began performing gigs through high school, and quickly starting building a
strong following.
His second album “Remedial View” was nominated for best Pop, Rock, Alternate and
Young Artist awards in Newcastle’s ABC Awards 07, the track “The A Song” being
used for the 24 Hour Film Festival Television advertising.
Now 21, Matt released his 3rd album "Letting Go" and has signed with Major Label
AND Entertainment in Asia. In 2008 alone, Matt performed over 200 shows around
Australia and shared the stage with some of the countries best.
Influenced by the likes of acoustic pop artists John Mayer, The Goo Goo Dolls,
and Pete Murray, Matts music is both “refreshing, fun, and heart warming” that
will leave you counting your blessings more than your bruises.
Matt also speaks and performs in schools all around Australia with “Your Dream
Seminars”, which encourages students to live their dream for their life. His
heart to encourage his generation to not give in has seen thousands of people
inspired to change for good.
