| The
majority of Australian States / Territories have an ICASN Representative
to co-ordinate social events.
The purpose of Social Events is to provide an
opportunity for ICAs to meet each other, form new friendships in a relaxed
environment, and to discuss adoption experiences if desired.
The State Representative will also
liaise with other contacts / organisations in their State / Territory
involved in the adoption arena to help promote a greater understanding of
the issues to the wider community.

ICASN membership reflects
a wide variety in originating countries where we were born. At some
stage, some adoptees wish to return to their country of origin and / or
search for birth family. ICASN tries to help make this easier by
leveraging off the experience of adoptees within the network. This
is assisted via our Country of Origin Representatives who act as a central
repository for collating resources on that particular country.
Resources may include: events, individuals /
organisations, books, literature, research, music, or festivals.
Where possible, we have made resources available via this website.
