I am a 26 year old Sri Lankan adoptee and would like to firstly thank God for my life.  I was adopted as a small baby along with my twin sister into a Caucasian family along with other adopted children in 1981. The agency I came through was International Children's Aid (ICA).

I had what one could describe a difficult teenage period.

A turning point in my life was when my mum (my adoptive mother) was able to locate my birth family and we were able to travel back to Sri Lanka and meet my biological family and fill in the missing pieces of the jigsaw puzzle.

I am currently on my way to finishing my first degree which is a Bachelor of Community Welfare (International Social Development).  I am completing an internship in Arusha Tanzania and will be back in Australia early February 2008.
